Assist Athlete Services bridges the gap between physical performance and mental development — building confident, resilient and self-aware athletes through mentoring, workshops and athlete development programs.
We help athletes, parents, coaches and sporting organisations build the skills athletes need to thrive in sport and in life — developing the person behind the performance, not just the player on the roster.
Real sessions, real athletes — mindset work happening alongside the skill work.
Mikhaela Cann is the Founder of Assist Athlete Services — a professional basketball player, WNBL Champion and former Australian representative who has lived the athlete journey from grassroots pathways through to elite sport.
Drawing on her experience as an athlete, coach and mentor, Mikhaela works alongside sports psychology professionals and a team of specialists to build programs that support the whole athlete: combining evidence-informed mental skills with practical, real-world experience.
Assist's programs tackle athlete development from multiple angles — mindset, confidence, resilience, identity, leadership, life skills and performance — giving athletes tools they can use in sport, under pressure and beyond the game.
Six ways we work with athletes, parents, coaches and clubs — from one-on-one mentoring to whole-team workshops.
Small-group and individual basketball development combining technical skill, decision-making, confidence and high-performance habits.
